Let’s turn back time to the year 2011. Kim Jong Un’s father Kim Jong Il died. The Dead body of Kim Jong Il was delivered by the US-made 1976 Lincoln Continental Hearse. Around the hearse, there were 7 cabinet members of N.Korea, Kim Jong Il. If you include Kim Jong Un, it would be a total of eight, because of this historic scene of N.Korea, those seven cabinet members are known as the “Hearse Seven” meaning the most influential power of N.Korea’s leadership besides their new and young leader, Kim Jong Un.
They are Jang Sung Taek (Deputy Chairman of National Defense Commission), Kim Ki Nam (Secretary-General of the party), Choi Tae Bok (Speaker of the National Assembly), Lee Young Ho (Joint Chief of Staff), Kim Young Chun (Secretary of Defense), Kim Jong Kak (First Deputy Director General of Military-Political Bureau), and Woo Dong Chuk (First Deputy Director of Intelligence and Security).
None of these ‘hearse 7’ are the current cabinet member of Kim Jong Un. Young Kim has killed them or sent them to the lower position after he took over the leadership of N.Korea. The key man of the hearse seven was the Jang Sung Taek, deputy chair of national defense commission. He had a good relationship with China that he took care of various business between China and N.Korea. After about 2 years of Kim Jong Un’s reign, Jang was killed by machine guns as a punishment, N.Korea saying he was involved in various corruptions and the coup attempt. He was the uncle of young Kim Jong Un.
Kim Jong Un gets rid of the former cabinet of his father, Kim Jong Il and he nominated new members, and even among these new members, Kim Jong Un often switches them with other new ones. This new change means three things. First, young Kim does not want to rely on the past, his father’s cabinet. Second, Kim Jong Un believes nobody but himself so there is nobody to stop nor interfere with Kim’s decision. Third, psychologically, Kim cannot believe anyone around. Therefore, he has no place to rely on, so he needs a place to lean on.
The first and second part which make others(S.Korea and the US) harder to predict compare to his father’s era. Kim can do whatever he wants so his actions are very hard to predict and it has been proven by its past provocations. Under Kim Jong Un’s control, the number of provocations increased and many of them are sudden and unprecedented cases.
The third part is where Kim Yo Jong plays an important role for his brother, Kim Jong Un. Kim Jong Un is a lonely leader. He spent his early life separated from his mother and educated in Europe, Swiss. He has not received proper love from his mother since childhood, he has fear and loneliness that cannot be expressed outside. For this reason, Kim Jong Un has similar impulsive and rebellious tendencies as adolescent boys in the frequency and manner of past provocations of N.Korea. Based on this Kim wants to rely on his sister and share some of his concerns with her. Kim Yo Jong knows this and being a good yes-girl for his brother that she earned a high credential from his brother, Kim Jong Un. This is why Kim Jong Un decided to send her to S.Korea as his trusted puppet.
However, Kim Yo Jong has a lack of experience in business, military, and organization. She has never achieved anything for N.Korea. What she does well is just errand from her brother, Kim Jong Un. She only follows what her brother asked for. She cannot do anything for her own will. Also knowing the culture of N.Korea, women, in general, are not the high positions of society in N.Korea. Therefore she had no chance to experience any leading role in N.Korea.
N.Korea is the old-fashioned military-based country where many former veterans take a big role in society which makes it even harder for women to raise up to the top of the commanding branches. Kim Yo Jong is no exception. Despite her pure Genuity of Kim family, she always has her private male tutor, Kim Chang Son who known to teach her leadership skills.
Many media did not even know the fact that Kim Yo Jong’s tutor Kim Chang Son came to S.Korea’s Olympics together. He acted as the shadow of Kim Yo Jong for the entire visit to S.Korea. Based on this Kim Yo Jong is nobody but just a sister of Kim Jong Un and she is not a threat to her brother’s power. On the other hand, Kim Jong Un’s elder brother, Kim Jong Chol is known to be under serious surveillance and takes no role in N.Korea.
Nevertheless, it is North Korea ‘s advanced strategy to send her to the South who has no major position or ability, it simply draws all the attention from the world to her and the real deal between two Koreas are all done by the Kim Yong Nam who came to Seoul with Kim Yo Jong as the chief of N.Korea. Unlike naive Kim Yo Jong, Kim Yong Nam has a wealth of experience as a 90-year-old man.
After N.Korea’s high officials’ departure from S.Korea, any Intelligence Community’s top-notch forensic agents will go to their hotels chasing their vestige: fingerprints, human feces because these are the source of information about their health condition. However, N.Korea already knows this that they do not leave any marks. According to former N.Korea’s diplomat who has defected to S.Korea said before, they even take their feces back to N.Korea leaving nothing behind them. N.Korean high officials carry special chemical substance which can make human feces into the smell-less solid structure.
Recently various media in S.Korea said Kim Yo Jong is currently pregnant, the father of a baby is Woo In Hak who has graduated Kim Il Sung university which is equivalent to Harvard in the US. He is known as a lower class of N.Korea happen to meet Kim Yo Jong ended up marrying her.
